The responsive cushioning in the Pegasus delivers an energetic running experience for daily road runs. Two Air Zoom units and a midsole made from ReactX foam ensure optimal energy return whilst keeping the shoe lightweight. The new, specially developed mesh in the upper makes the shoe lighter and enhances breathability.

ReactX foam has been designed with a focus on performance and the planet. The carbon footprint of a pair of midsoles is reduced by at least 43%, as their production requires less energy than the production of the previous Nike React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on a cradle-to-gate assessment verified by PRé Sustainability B.V. and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as Air elements, plates or other types of foam were not taken into account.
